President Obama discussed immigration in a meeting recently and spoke about making the process easier, faster, and better. In an essence, he wanted to focus on two main departments which he felt could alter the immigration policies: The Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security. He proposed making the detention centers a safer and more manageable place by shortening unnecessary supplies. To make immigrants feel secure, President Obama reduced the number of police patrollers along the border, and placing them towards immigration centers. Overall, Obama has made the immigrants feel safer and secure when entering the United States, but has yet to alter the immigration policies as of today. DO YOU FEEL SAFER?
