“As many of you may be aware, the House of Representatives voted to continue deportations of childhood arrivals, or as we commonly refer to them at the Firm, “PDY’s” This most likely has and will continue to cause our current and potential clients to become worried and ask many questions. Yes, this measure passed in the House of Representatives but to become law the bill must also pass the Senate, which is highly unlikely. Additionally, even worse case scenario, if the Senate passed the bill, the President would likely veto. There has been no actual change in law, nothing is final and at this point there is no way to know if there will be a reform or if the “PDY’s” will be removed or continue to have some sort of status. Our attorneys do not believe anything will change at this point, but as always there is no guarantee.” Stephanie Corcoran Managing Attorney Maria Jones Law Firm
